I finally finished the graphic novel tonight, just a day before the film comes out in theaters. I have to say that the book filled me with longing and brilliance and deep sadness. It's honestly the best graphic novel I have ever read, and I am beginning to wonder how it is even possible to adapt such a fantastic piece of art to film in the first place. There are rumors that the ending of the movie deviates heavily from the ending of the novel, so we shall just have to see about that. Whatever happens, Alan Moore has adopted a special little place in my heart. What a brilliant human being.
Here's to Rorschach. The only stinky asshole who refused to hide the truth from the public of New York.
In other news, I seem to be suffering from mounting levels of self-loathing. But I got a fortune in a fortune cookie that said, "Be assertive, you have worthy ideas to share." Or uhm...something to that effect. It was very inspiring, and made me sniffle a little bit into my Panda Express orange chicken. Which, if you have not done that is both a painful and thrilling experience. They must use some sort of spice that aims directly for your sinuses, and then flies way up into your brain.
